Weekend Sightseeing Mui Ne
After a short time in Saigon, our "weekend" started with a drive to Mui Ne. This gorgeous location is full of coconut trees, a beautiful beach, and startling wave splashed cliffs. The weather for the most part has been very cooperative. Upper 80's to mid-90's with a mixture of strong sun with cool breezes. The "Monday afternoon" Temple Pharmacy running club remained in tact with a 6:00 am refreshing run on Mui Ne beach. (The students can't escape my instillation of running passion). After all, it seems like much of the culture in Vietnam revolves around food. Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Mid-afternoon snack, Dinner, and late night snacks. It amazes me the metabolism of the culture, as none of the dishes are what I would consider "light". Thus, I have been mandating daily caloric burn!!
